Grain Dept.

Kanematsu deals with raw materials and products, such as rice, wheat, and other grains and millet, engaging in a variety of business operations with more than 20 countries worldwide. We are one of the trading companies that handle the top-level volumes of imported rice, thus contributing to the procurement of a stable food supply from Japan. We also handle a wide range of pet products.

Business Features

Stable supply of our main food—grains

We procure and sell rice, flour products (flour, pasta, and imported frozen bread), and other grains (oats, buckwheat, etc.) on a global scale, thus ensuring a stable supply of food materials and semi-finished products. Due to the recent geopolitical risks and climate change, maintaining a stable supply of food has emerged as a pressing social issue. We are addressing this issue on a daily basis through the construction of stable value chains utilizing reliable supply sources and domestic and overseas networks, which we have attained through our long-term efforts.
