For more than 35 years, Kanematsu has been providing solutions for semiconductor testing processes, mainly the IC test handler business to the global semiconductor market.
In response to the recent trend for the worldwide adoption of digital transformation (DX) and green energy transformation (GX), the semiconductor market is rapidly expanding. By 2030, the market is expected to reach $1 trillion market. In addition, to strengthen supply chain resilience in the face of geopolitical risks, each country is accelerating domestic semiconductor production.

Industry standard IC test handler
Kanematsu has been engaged in the development and sales of IC test handlers since the early days of the semiconductor test equipment.
The "North Star Platform" equipment design with high versatility is now known as the de-facto standard worldwide due to its excellent stability and UPH.

Consistent supply system from development to maintenance service
Together with NS Technologies, Inc. which was established after the acquisition of the IC test handler business from Seiko Epson Corporation, Kanematsu has built a system to provide services from the customer's perspective by consistently supplying development, design, production, quality assurance, sales, and maintenance service of handlers as the Kanematsu Group.
Global network
Kanematsu built a sales and maintenance network including overseas subsidiaries and long-standing partners for over 30 years from Africa, Central America, and Asia.
We will capture cross-border demands and expand our business through a close information network.
A low-temperature handler Designed to Meet Growing Testing Demand
Semiconductors for automotive and aerospace applications require low-temperature testing, and the demand for this is on the rise. NS Technologies leveraged the development capabilities and resources cultivated over many years to release a new low-temperature compatible model in 2024 that supports temperatures from -55C to 175C. Compared with competitors, this model achieves a higher UPH and a lower Jam Rate, and has already received numerous inquiries from customers.

- As ICs test at low temperatures becomes increasingly essential due to the growing demand for automotive ICs, we have developed a new tri-temp IC test handler. It will be officially joined to NST product lineup soon. SEMICON Taiwan is the first place to exhibit the actual handler in the worldwide.
- In addition, due to the increase in the size and power consumption of ICs for AI applications, the demand for dynamic temperature control during ICs test is increasing. As an example of how to deal with this, we will exhibit detachable ATC unit on IC test handler.
