Shape memory alloys (SMAs) are functional metallic materials characterized by their ability to recover their original, pre-deformed shape through reversible changes in crystal structure triggered by temperature and/or applied stress. They are widely utilized in medical and industrial applications, enabling repeated deformation and recovery while simplifying device design and reducing the need for complex mechanical components.

Materials
