Kanematsu Corporation (CEO: Masayuki Shimojima, Headquarter: Minato-ku, Tokyo, “Kanematsu”) has been selected by Bombardier Aerospace as the sales representative for the all-new Bombardier C Series airliner in Japan. Bombardier Aerospace is the world’s third largest civil aircraft manufacturer. While Kanematsu has been marketing helicopters and business jets, with this agreement with Bombardier, it will now assist with the marketing and sale of the Bombardier C Series passenger aircraft in Japan.

Bombardier aims to revolutionize the 100- to 149-seat market segment with the C Series aircraft family, which includes the 110- to 125-seat CS100 airliner and the larger CS300 airliner that can seat up to 160 passengers in its optional extra capacity configuration. The C Series family of aircraft features an optimal combination of cutting-edge technologies, such as Pratt & Whitney Pure Power? PW1500G geared turbofan engines, carbon fiber wing and fly-by-wire system, and delivers a 20%* fuel burn advantage, as well as a 15%* cash operating cost advantage. In addition, the C Series aircraft will emit 20%* fewer CO2 and 50%* fewer NOx emissions, and will offer a greatly reduced noise footprint.

The C Series aircraft’s cabin offers comfortable, wider seats, larger overhead bins that have the capacity to stow oversized carry-on roller bags and extra-large windows at every seat row. These features will provide a wide-body aircraft atmosphere in the single-aisle C Series aircraft. Furthermore, C Series aircraft can be equipped with the Persons with Reduced Mobility (PRM) lavatory that set new standards in space organization and occupant’s privacy.

Bombardier launched the C Series aircraft in 2008 and successfully accomplished its maiden flight on September 16, 2013.

Kanematsu is looking forward to proactively introducing Bombardier’s game-changing C Series aircraft to Japanese operators.
