We are pleased to announce that Kaga City, Ishikawa, and Kanematsu Corporation (Kanematsu) have signed a comprehensive partnership agreement for the promotion of regional revitalization using flying vehicles and drones. Under this agreement, Kaga City and Kanematsu will work together in pilot projects and other related activities.
In accordance with its growth strategy of developing human resources and adopting advanced technology, Kaga City is currently engaged in various initiatives aimed at driving digitalization and creating new industries. As for aerial initiatives, the city is creating a 3D map of its entire urban area, developing a drone control platform, and trying to attract and retain businesses involved in air infrastructure to the city.
Focusing on the areas of environment, safety, and comfort, Kanematsu aims to contribute to society through the creation of next-generation mobility businesses. By leveraging our business knowhow, experience, and network, we will work on creating a value chain for flying vehicles and drones, which are means of next-generation air mobility.
With the new agreement, Kaga City and Kanematsu will engage in initiatives aimed at promoting regional revitalization through the creation of next-generation mobility businesses specializing in flying vehicles and drones, attracting related industries to Kaga City, and promoting social contribution activities.
