We are happy to announce that Kanematsu Corporation (hereinafter “Kanematsu”) and SCREEN GP Japan Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “GPJ”) have begun collaboration for the distribution of overseas products in the Japanese printing market. Through this collaboration, we will combine the strengths of GPJ––its technical prowess as a manufacturer-distributor and marketing capability in the Japanese printing market, as well as the maintenance and support services offered by SCREEN GP Service Japan East Co., Ltd. and SCREEN GP Service Japan West Co., Ltd.––with the expertise and extensive overseas network that Kanematsu has cultivated in the printer business over the past 30 years, aiming to further the adoption of overseas-made digital printers*1 and related products that meet the needs of the Japanese market.
In the first phase of our collaboration, we will begin the distribution of BIZPRESS 13R, a toner digital label printer manufactured by South Korea’s VALLOY Inc., from October 23, 2024. Our aim is to further the adoption of affordable products, as well as to promote the digitalization of the label printing industry, which predominately relies on analog printers*2.
*1: Devices that print directly onto paper with toner or inkjet technology without using plates

■ Toner Digital Label Printer「BIZPRESS 13R」
The strong points of the toner digital label printer BIZPRESS 13R, manufactured by South Korea’s VALLOY Inc., include its compatibility with various printing media such as coated paper and art paper*3, as well as its compact 1.5 sqm footprint. Thanks to its compact size, the printer can be installed not only in factories but also in offices, making it the perfect solution for insourcing label printing operations. What is more, since the printer does not require registration*4 and also simplifies color matching*5, it is easy to operate even for less-experienced personnel, as well as achieving high productivity even with short preparation time and small batches. We will be exhibiting and demonstrating the printer at SCREEN’s booth at Label Forum Japan 2024, which is scheduled to take place at Tokyo Big Sight from October 23 (Wed) to 25 (Fri), so please come see what it is capable of for yourself.
*3: Coated paper is a type of printing paper with coating applied to its surface. Art paper has more coating applied on it than coated paper.
*4: A printing operation or technology involving aligning plates and various inks
