Kanematsu Sustech'sTohoku Plant began procuring electricity through a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) in July 2024. This mechanism enables direct contracts between consumers and power generators to secure long-term renewable energy supply. The company's rooftop solar panels have enabled it to switch approximately 14% of its electricity consumption to renewable energy.
