Kanematsu Corporation (hereinafter "Kanematsu") announces that it concluded a stock transfer agreement to acquire 100% of the outstanding shares of JM Technology Inc. (hereinafter "JMT"), effective as of July 24, 2023.
JMT provides various solutions to semiconductor manufacturers, focusing on engineering services for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. It has solid technical capabilities to meet the diverse demands of its customers by leveraging its knowledge accumulated over many years.
Kanematsu sells semiconductor / liquid crystal display manufacturing and inspection equipment and provides maintenance services to the semiconductor market in Japan and overseas. Through the conclusion of this agreement, Kanematsu aims to expand its business domain and strengthen its existing commercial rights through support from engineers of JMT. Specifically, the conclusion of this agreement will contribute to strengthening the repair, improvement, and maintenance businesses, especially for semiconductor front-end manufacturing equipment, for which needs are increasing in the Japanese market. This conclusion will also contribute to production efficiency and labor savings in the semiconductor manufacturing industry through utilizing IoT by incorporating IoT solutions developed by JMT for semiconductor manufacturers into Kanematsu Group's assets.
Kanematsu Group will continue to actively expand its business and acquire added value in business fields where it has strength.
