Kanematsu is developing and selling envi-ronmentally friendly labels made withLIMEX Sheet, a material developed andmanufactured by TBM Co., Ltd. that ismade mainly from limestone.
LIMEX Sheet contains no wood pulp, and the amount of water used in its production is much lower than that used in making paper labels, helping to conserve forestry and water resources.
Not only does LIMEX Sheet offer supe-rior durability and water resistance in com-parison to paper, but compared with other synthetic papers commonly used for labels, such as polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene terephthalate (PET) sheets, the use of LIMEX Sheet for labels produces lower emissions of CO2 and other greenhouse gases and reduces petroleum-derived plas-tic usage.
