In Kanematsu's food soybean business where we established the top market share in the food soybean sorting plant in Japan, we operate a soybean sorting plant in the state of Ohio, U.S., and have achieved integrated traceability from the farm field to customers by seed development and farming under direct contracts with growers.
We meet the various needs of food soybeans through the sales of safe and secure non-GMO brands of soybeans to Japan and overseas.

Abundant product lineup taking advantage of top market share position
We handlenon-GMO soybeans* suitable for the processing purpose mainly in the U.S. and Canada under contracts with growers concluded through suppliers.
From seeding to harvest, contracts are concluded and quality control is performed, and 120,000 tons of soybeans are imported annually. We can make proposals for ideal products according to the various needs of customers, such as the place of origination, variety and other conditions.
* Non-GMO soybeans: Abbreviation for Non-Genetically Modified Organisms, which refers to soybean that are not genetically modified
Commitment for stable supply by development of own and securing growers
In order to further ensure safe and secure raw material soybeans, in 2012, we established KG Agri Products, Inc. in the state of Ohio, U.S. which performs seed development, contract farming, processing and sales food soybeans. Integrated traceability from the farm field to the customer can be realized by performing seed development and farming under direct contracts with growers.
We will continue to provide varieties required by the production and demand to the market, by uniquely developing varieties required by growers and customers (only Kanematsu among Japanese trading companies).
Utilization of bulk carrier ship distribution aiming for extensive security of growers and stable supply
We are aiming for the stable security of non-GMO soybean growers where security is becoming more severe year by year, and stable supply through self-reliance by expanding imports using barge and bulk carrier ship distribution, by combining loads with other products and materials of the Grain, Oilseeds & Feedstuff Department of Kanematsu, in addition to conventional container distribution.
Business focus areas
We will make extensive proposals for the products required by customers all at once by adding the downstream business of Kanematsu Soytech Corporation which handles domestic soybeans, food additives, and various beans to the upstream business in cooperation with KG Agri Products, Inc. and other major suppliers.
